CUSTOM OPTIONS

Each kiln is custom-built with a number of design options:

Size. Any size is possible, but not every size is a perfect fit for you. We help determine your ideal kiln size by considering your desired frequency of firing, volume of production, and shelf size.

Door type. Most clients prefer our specially-designed cars for gas or soda/salt, which make loading/unloading much easier. But we have also designed and built a number of custom door styles, including hinged, sliding, and brick-up.

Burners. When it comes to burners and safety systems, we have recommendations, but we have worked with all types, both forced air and natural draft (venturi). And it's possible we can save you money by using your existing system.

Shelves. We can design a kiln to fit your existing shelves or supply you with new shelves at a competitive cost. There are great new options available that are lightweight and durable.

Ventilation. It is important to provide adequate intake and ventilation, both for proper firing and safety. Generally, the best solutions are quite simple, but we are able to work out solutions for difficult interior spaces.

Chimney. A range of options is available, from the standard brick chimney stack to hi-tech stainless steel systems.

Other products. We offer competitive prices on materials such as kiln hardware, coatings, brick/refractory products and diamond grinding blades.
